Join us this Saturday Eveningfor A Night of Harmony!
SLCO is pleased to inform you of another exciting upcoming event. The Northern Lights chorus will be performing on the Muskoka Music Men’s 29th Annual ‘Night of Harmony’ show!
Since forming 20 years ago, the Northern Lights have redefined barbershop. Blending the traditions of barbershop with the excitement of modern a cappella, the Northern Lights shatter expectations of boater hats and pinstripes by presenting a wide mix of music from all eras, and an “in-your-face” sound and performance style that has energized audiences around the world. They truly are the première men’s a cappella chorus in Canada!
The Muskoka Music Men will open the show, with a selection of numbers chosen by music director Frank Berg. With a mix of jazz, ragtime, blues and a couple of movie theme songs, there is something to please all musical tastes! In-house quartet Two Four Time will also perform, adding some doo-wop and pop tunes to the mix.
The Show will take place at the Algonquin Theatre on Saturday, August 18, 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults, half price for students, and are available at the Theatre box office at 705-789-4975 or online at www.algonquintheatre.ca.
$15 will be donated to the Stop the Lippa Quarry fund for each SLCO member who confirms that they bought a ticket after the AGM. This does not change the ticket price of $30, (payable to the Algonquin Theatre); it just means an additional $15.00 will be donated into the fund for each ticket sold. Looking forward to seeing you on August 18!
P.S. Let Geoff Ross know you bought tickets for A Night of Harmony after the AGM by emailing him at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling him at 705-385-2546.
